BEST OUT OF WASTE COMPETITION

To encourage students to think innovatively and creatively, and to instil the values of recycling, reusing, and reducing waste, the Science and Maths Club of Mount Carmel School conducted a Best Out of Waste Competition for Grades 5 to 8 on October 26, 2024.

The competition saw enthusiastic participation from students across Grades 5 to 8. Each participant was tasked with creating an item using only waste materials such as plastic bottles, old newspapers, cardboard, and other recyclable items. The students showcased their creativity and ingenuity by transforming these waste materials into remarkable and useful items.

On the day of the competition, the participants were allotted one and a half hours to complete their projects. The event was supervised by the judges to ensure the safe use of materials and tools. The participants demonstrated their skills with great enthusiasm and ensured that safety guidelines were strictly adhered to.

Each creation was meticulously evaluated by a panel of judges based on criteria such as creativity, innovation, utility, and overall presentation. After careful deliberation, the winners were announced. The winners of the competition were as follows:
