Debate Competition

A Debate Competition was successfully conducted on the 14th of September, 2024, on the thought-provoking topic: “Is Mobile Technology a Boon or a Bane for Educational Progress?” The event provided a dynamic platform for young minds to showcase their intellectual talents and oratory skills. Held in the school auditorium at 11:00 AM, the competition was organized by the Social and Eco Club for students of Grades 5 to 8.

The primary objective of the competition was to foster the development of communication skills, enhance self-confidence, and promote public speaking abilities among the participants. The students, divided into teams, enthusiastically argued both for and against the motion, offering diverse perspectives on the impact of mobile technology on education.

Each participant confidently took the stage, speaking with passion and conviction. The arguments were rich with insight, showcasing the students' ability to think critically and present logical viewpoints. Their performances were meticulously evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges based on specific criteria including content and relevance, rebuttal and counterarguments, logical structure, and clarity of speech.

The culmination of the event saw three students from each section being recognized and awarded for their outstanding performances. Their ability to debate and counter their opponents’ arguments with grace and intellect truly impressed the judges and the audience alike.

This event was a testament to the students' growing confidence, critical thinking abilities, and the power of teamwork. It not only provided an enriching experience for the participants but also left the audience with much food for thought on the role of technology in modern education.
