Patroness Day Celebration

Mount Carmel School joyously celebrated its Patroness Day on the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, which fell on Monday, July 15, 2024. The day was a reflection of the manifold blessings bestowed by Mother Mary of Mount Carmel, honouring her protection and guidance over the school’s academic and co-curricular endeavours.

The event was graced by the chief guest, Rev. Fr. Sunil Rodrigues, the local manager, who delivered an inspiring message about the exemplary life of Mother Mary. He eloquently spoke about the significance of Mount Carmel, the mountain located beside the Mediterranean Sea in Israel, and its importance in Christian history. His insightful words added depth and meaning to the day’s celebration, further enhancing its significance.

Rev. Fr. Suresh Saldanha, the school principal, and Sr. Margaret from Bethany Convent, Shivamogga, were also present to honor the occasion with their valuable presence and support.

The students contributed to the festivity with a series of captivating performances that beautifully highlighted the virtues of Mother Mary, such as love, kindness, and compassion for the poor. The program included a solemn prayer service, a thought-provoking skit, a heartfelt speech, and a variety of cultural dances that depicted the rich diversity of traditions. Each performance reflected the deep connection between faith and values that Mount Carmel School strives to instil in its students.

The celebration concluded at 12:30 PM with the distribution of sweets, bringing an end to a day filled with joy, gratitude, and a renewed sense of community spirit.
